Earlier this week, the EU & Local Funds Manager from Kunsill Regjonali Ghawdex, Fabian Galea, attended a two-day training course organised and financed by ALDA – European Association for Local Democracy, in Vicenza, Italy.
The objective of ALDA’s Local Academy Training was to increase the capacity of local and regional authorities, practitioners, officials, and managers to construct an active and fruitful dialogue with citizens and communities towards the participatory process in the definition of local policies and improve citizens’ engagement.
This Local Academy Training focused on:
✅ The 12 Principles of Good Governance
✅ Participatory Democracy
✅ Participatory Budgeting
✅ Citizens participation and engagement in EU Policies
✅ Overview of the CoE’s Citizens Participation in Decision-Making Toolkit
✅ Workshop on Collaboration Pacts
